RAK 3+4

A multi-species pheromone control system aimed at apple, pear and cherry orchards

Rak 3+4 provides a non-pesticide option to control male codling and tortrix moths. We have partnered with BASF to bring this to the public.

How it works

The dispenser can be hung on trees in April and then left to disperse throughout the season. The containers usually last for 9 months, giving you reassurance that your orchards are protected for the majority of the year.

Female pheromones are released in the area around the trees which confuses the male. This means they can't locate partners and fertile eggs are not laid.

The system has been designed for apple, cherry and pear orchards, so ideal for top fruit growers. It is also a great choice for those with a hectic lifestyle who would prefer a hands-off approach.

This mating disruption process reduces the reliance on insecticide appli
cation and the risk of residues in the crop. Get in touch with us today to find out more about the dispenser and how it can aid the protection of your fruit orchards.
