To further support business growth, Agrovista is delighted to announce the appointment of Hertfordshire-based agronomist, Dan Ives.

Dan began pursuing a career in agriculture after gaining on-farm experience and later completing a diploma in agriculture at Writtle College. Following his further studies, he spent four years with plant breeder Limagrain, where he built solid foundations within the seed trade.

Dan then joined Frontier and achieved his BASIS qualification, enabling him to become a practising agronomist. He now joins Agrovista where he will be providing regional agronomic expertise across Hertfordshire, based from Watton-at-Stone.

26-year-old Dan said: “I really relate to Agrovista’s values – quality agronomy underpinned by a strong technical backing, with the customer at the heart of it all.

“With impending changes such as Brexit and a greater focus on environmental land management on the horizon, successfully guiding customers through these challenges will become increasingly important.

“Not only am I striving to build business within my region, I’m also keen to undertake advanced training and up-skill in required areas so I can continue to provide advice of the highest quality.”

Area Sales Manager James Stark believes that Dan’s seed trade experience as well as his drive for customer service excellence will make him a valuable contributor to the Agrovista team.

James said: “We are delighted to welcome Dan to Agrovista and are looking forward to integrating him into the business.

“Due to the alignment with our core values and his seed knowledge, we see in Dan someone who fits seamlessly into our business and who will become a great asset to both Agrovista and his customers.”

In his spare time, Dan enjoys playing rugby and cricket as well as spending time with his two dogs.
